Created in 2006 by Nicole Guedj, former French Minister, the Red Helmets Foundation  aims at facilitating the humanitarian action through two main objectives:

To obtain the creation of Red Helmets at the UN: those humanitarian brothers of the Blue Helmets would organize and coordinatae the rescue teams acting on major disasters' field.

To make people more sensitive, Nicole Guedj wrote a manifesto, For Red Helmets at the UN, published at Cherche-Midi.

To use new technologies to help victims: the Red Helmets Foundation is innovating by placing the high technologies in the heart of the humanitarian aid of the XXIth century. New means of communication as well as scientific analysis can optimize the actions led by Governemental Organizations and NGOs on the ground.

To reach this objective, the Red Helmets Foundation is lobbying to convince industries that their ressources can be used serve humanitarian cause, generating partnerships between the public sector, private sector and various associations.
