The Casual Work Meeting:

On the next day, the teams were finally ready to defend their innovation. At the Cantine, they met again with some of their coaches who came to support them and they also met the Jury for the Final.

They used this lunch to catch some information on the innovation and humanitarian world, to discover the participants' job and develop their network.

The Finale:

Teams presentated their projects, in less than 10 minutes, in front of:

  • Nicole Guedj, former French Minister and President of the Red Helmets Foundation
  • Joel Derriennic, Technical Account Manager at Google
  • Nathalie Boulanger, Vice-President  in charge of innovation at Orange
  • Pierre Aliphat, General Deleguate of Conférence des Grandes Ecoles
  • Jean-Baptiste Soufron, Think Tank Director at Cap Digital
  • Maryam Salehi, CEO of NRJ Group
  • Angela de Santiago, Founder of online media Youphil
  • Laurent Dutheil, CEO of Lieu du Design
  • Marie-Vorgan Le Barzic, General Delegate of Silicon Sentier
  • Julien Roitman, Vice-President of France Compétitivité
  • Gwenaël Prié, consultant in responsible telecommunications

Although it was difficult to select winners, the jury  finally rewarded three projects.

In third position, the Jury awarded the young project from the students of the ENSCI, Humanimap, a feed agregator platform  (Twitter, Facebook, SMS...) enabling to centralize and geolocalize these datas in case of a natural catastrophy.

The second price was awarded to the project Les Grains de Sable, of 4 students studying home automation. This development plan of a school in Mali thanks to solar energy captivated the jury by its concrete and feasable aspect.

Finally, the jury awarded the 5000 euros prize to Leaf Supply, a project led by two students from ESCP (business school) and 2 students from Strate College (design school). This emergency bed made of carton paper can be produced everywhere in the world at a very low cost. The jury was impressed by the “Leaf Supply” bed’s modularity enabling it to be transformed in a chair or a table.
